Sam uploaded her first video while pregnant to help her friend achieve the perfect smokey eye - way before there was every any hype surrounding makeup tutorials! Even so, people all over the world begun to find Sam's videos and requested more.


In 2010, when the Pixiwoo channel had reached 30 thousand subscribers, the idea behind Real Techniques begun to formulate. With so many subscribers asking them which brushes were affordable but would achieve a professional look, it was clear what Sam and Nic needed to do.


Fast forward to today with hundreds of millions of views and millions of subscribers, Sam & Nic are using their YouTube platform to share industry secrets.

Amazing makeup sponge!!

I’ve been using this for years for application of my liquid foundation and concealers. I love the shape of the sponge it makes blending concealer on the under eye area easy, the ‘pointy’ end is great for applying concealer to a very small area like blemishes leaving the makeup undetectable. Overrated but does the job

I wanted to splash out on a nice foundation brush but this really didn't live up to the hype. It's a nice looking brush and I love the colour, but I would prefer softer more flexible bristles. I mean it does the job, but it's just a bit underwhelming.
